1Efficiency offers an integrated suite of customer applications that includes an easy to use web based energy dashboard, a set of energy management reports available from the dashboard and email, alerts that can be delivered via email or mobile devices, a savings engine and a configuration or administrative application to provision customers, create building portfolios and to administer the applications. These applications are based upon our core technology of big-data Energy consumption database in the cloud.

Energy Insight™

is a key product in 1Efficiency's Energy Management product suite, that is specifically designed for building executives -- such as property managers, facility managers, financial managers and owners, to manage and control their electricity, water and gas consumption and spending across the entire portfolio of buildings.

Energy Reports™

are a set of standard energy management reports that are available from the dashboard and via email. Users can select date range, utility type, one or more buildings and other criteria while generating these reports. These reports are available in tabular and Inforgraphics format. They can also be exported to an excel file or pdf file.

Peak Demand Alerts™

are targeted email or text message based alerts, that when subscribed to by customers, will be delivered on the day when the customer's building is likely to hit peak electricity usage. Each alert contains the window of time when the building is likely to incur peak usage, local weather forecast and a set of recommendations to curtail usage.

Energy Saving Concierge™

1Effiiency offers a 12 step approach to savings. The Savings Engine analyse potential savings for customers. These savings are then delivered through timely and targeted feedback. Some of the 12 means of savings are: reducing consumption, reducing peak demand, getting tenants engaged, supplier side switching, upgrade recommendations and others.

Energy Consumption Database™

1Efficency operates a large scale mission critical database in the cloud that automatically retrieves data from both traditional utility meters and the so called "smart devices" or Building "internet of thing" devices ("BIoT"). The data is automatically retrieved from utilities, internet enabled devices and other sources. It is then cleansed and aggregated by customers and their building portfolios.

Energy Portfolio Builder™

is a browser-based point-and-click application to create a portfolio of buildings. A portfolio can consist of one or more buildings. Performance of portfolio and individual building within a portfolio is tagged as red, yellow or green. A building portfolio with aggregated data is also tagged with the similar color codes to show an aggregated portfolio performance.

EnergyInsight™ a key product in 1Efficiency's Energy Management product suite, is specifically designed for building executives -- such as property managers, facility managers, financial managers and owners, to manage and control electricity, water and gas consumption and spending across their entire portfolio of buildings.

The dashboard is accessible from any web browser on any computer, mobile device or tablet. From a simple point-and-click interface, executives can easily drill down from the top and aggregated portfolio-wide view to any specific meter or zone within any building or facility within their portfolio. This powerful capability -- to analyze the utility & energy data from both the top-down and bottom-up perspective across all buildings, utility providers, meters, zones and from any timeframe to any timeframe or billing statement -- empowers executives to effectively and efficiently make decisions related to building management, building efficiency and building projects. Management can easily compare their buildings, identify anomalies, and identify opportunities for savings. Building improvement projects can be prioritized to maximize returns and identified best practices. In turn, can be replicated across entire portfolio.

Simplicity is at the heart of the EnergyInsight™ dashboard. To begin with, upon logging in, the dashboard instantly provides the energy performance status of each building through a patent-pending color coded approach -- where each building is tagged as red, orange or green based upon the energy performance of each building. The benchmark for performance comparison is US Department of Energy's benchmarking data and 1efficiency's own data-set of comparable buildings.

Key metrics (KPIs) for management are as follows:

  • Cost
  • Consumption
  • Carbon footprint
  • Peak Demand
  • Benchmarking
  • Reporting
  • Savings and
  • Alerts

Key Product Features: Energy Data can be managed based upon the following features:

  • By building portfolio
  • By each building within the portfolio
  • Down to a single meter within any building
  • By any utility such as electricity, water and gas individually or collectively in any building
  • By sub-meters deployed at different zones such as cafeteria, parking lot etc. or other location, floors, suites, by tenants and others
  • By transmission and distribution charges including peaks and valleys
  • By peak demand charges
  • From any timeframe to any timeframe including monthly, quarterly and yearly analysis
  • By comparing building against US Department of Energy benchmarking industry standards
  • By comparing buildings, within your own portfolio, against each other.
  • By consumption or generation of energy Solar meters, LED meters, appliances such as HVAC meters etc.
  • By normalizing data by weather, square footage and occupancy
  • By understanding the usage of thermostats and other devices

Energy Reports™ are a powerful companion to the EnergyInsight dashboard as reports can be emailed in addition to being available for viewing from the dashboard. Busy executives can easily understand their energy cost, consumption and usage across all their buildings. Standard reports are available for easy viewing. Some of these reports are:

  • Cost Summary Report

Summary of all the cost incurred by each building for all the utilities (electric, water, gas etc) on a monthly basis for the last 12 months or any other time frame. It also provides an aggregated total of all utilities for all the buildings within a building portfolio.

  • Utility Cost and Usage Report

Summary of all the cost and consumption by each building for all the utilities (electric, water, gas etc) on a monthly basis for the last 12 months or any other time frame. It also provides an aggregated total of all utilities for all the buildings within a building portfolio.

  • Detailed Meter Point Report

For every in every building within your portfolio, this report provides a detailed cost and consumption data for the last 12 months or any other timeframe. For instance you can view the total cost you are incurring and how it breaks down by some common areas such as the parking lot, main entrance, cafeteria, vacant apartments etc.

  • Cost and Consumption Benchmark Comparison

A report that compares the total cost and consumption for all utilities against Department of Energy’s benchmarking data. The report provides a monthly breakdown for each building for any timeframe.

  • Cost and Consumption Previous Year Comparison

A report that compares the current month’s aggregated cost and consumption for all utilities against cost and consumption in the previous year. The report provides a monthly breakdown for each building.

  • Building Monthly Summary Report

An Infographics report that compares electricity, water and gas charges and consumption incurred in the current month (or any prior month) against (a) previous month, (b) same month previous year and (c) industry benchmark. This one-page infographics report is produced for every building within a portfolio.

Peak Demand Alerts™ are targeted alerts that help you deliver savings on the day you are most likely to incur highest peak demand charges. The alerts provide you with a window of time on that specific day when you should curtail your electricity usage and a set of action items you can do to achieve real savings.

Many building owners and property managers are charged for their electricity usage based upon two factors: first is consumption which is the total amount or units of electricity consumed in a given month or billing period and second is the demand which is highest amount of electricity used on any given day in a month or billing period for a 15 or 30 minute window of time. A typical electricity bill includes both of these two charges i.e. consumption and demand charges. The demand charges can be 10-40% of the overall electric bill depending upon the type of building, usage pattern, regional climate and seasonal temperature. Typically these charges are incurred on a relatively cold day or a relatively hot day.

1Efficiency offers a Peak Demand Alert to its customers through an email or mobile device on the day the electricity demand is likely to hit peak usage in their building. By following a set of recommendations the building owners, property managers and facility managers can reduce their peak demand charges on that particular day. This will result in overall reduced electric bill for the month.

Peak Demand Alerts can not only be sent to owners, manager and facility managers who can respond tactically to such conservation initiatives, but such alerts may also be appropriate for tenant engagement so they can participate in these events. Many executives have suggested that social aspect for energy conservation is a good motivator to engage tenants.

Energy Saving Concierge™ is your energy concierge that delivers savings. 1Efficiency’s value proposition is to automate all data feeds, convert raw data into information and then information into knowledge that is actionable to achieve savings.

1Efficiency takes raw usage, consumption and other "data", analyses it and provides "information" regarding building efficiency and performance to enable building owners, property manages and facility managers to manage and control their energy usage and consumption in buildings. In addition to this information, 1Efficiency is also able to offer the "knowledge" which provides the means to achieving these savings. 1Efficiency has developed a 12 step approach to achieving these savings. One such means is the very tactical and targeted approach to savings through the PeakDemandAlerts™.
